LexChain (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and safeguard your data when you use the LexChain platform and its services.
By using LexChain, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
1. Overview
LexChain is a decentralized data security platform that enables users to encrypt, fragment (shard), and securely store data across third-party storage providers (such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.). We do not access or control the content of your files. Our primary objective is to protect your data from unauthorized access and manipulation.
2. Data We Collect
We minimize data collection to ensure your privacy and control. LexChain may collect the following types of data:
a. Authentication Data
- OAuth tokens (temporary, encrypted) to allow access to your chosen cloud storage provider.
- Email address and user ID from your cloud provider (e.g., Microsoft, Google) to manage your storage preferences.
b. System Logs (on Blockchain)
- Logs of file actions (upload, retrieve, delete) are hashed and immutably recorded on blockchain.
- No file content is stored or logged.
c. Metadata
- Non-personally identifiable metadata (e.g., file size, storage provider, shard count) for internal service optimization and debugging.
3. Data We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect or store your file contents.
- We do not analyze or access the contents of your data.
- We do not sell or share personal information with third parties for marketing.
4. How We Use Your Data

- To process and encrypt files locally before storage.
- To create immutable blockchain records ensuring file integrity and traceability.
- To provide technical support and monitor service performance.
5. Storage and Security
- End-to-End Encryption: Files are encrypted locally on your device before uploading. Only you hold the decryption keys.
- Sharding: Files are fragmented and distributed to prevent unauthorized access.
- Blockchain Logging: Immutable logs prevent tampering and ensure accountability.
- No Central Storage: We do not host your files. You choose your own storage provider.
6. Data Retention
- OAuth tokens are stored temporarily and securely.
- Blockchain logs are permanent and anonymous (hash-based).
- No personal data or files are retained by LexChain beyond session use.
